Finding Time for One Another
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” –Genesis 2:24
This is a topic I spent a long time debating with myself over whether or not I would cover, but I think it is important. It is really important to be patient and kind to one another in the truck and letting a lot of things slide, but your love life is not one of these. I know you’re tired and frustrated, but you have to keep making the magic happen. So the question you probably have at this point is, How do I find the time?
Finding the Time
It really is all about taking the opportunity when it comes no matter how tired you are. I have noticed over the years that my husband and I are better people and more importantly parents whenever we make the time for one another. We feel loved and appreciated. |
How to Utilize your Space
It is not easy to have privacy in such a small space. Especially with three people on the truck. Put your little one in their car seat and put on a movie or entertain them with a game and then head into the back and shut the divider curtain.
Quality Time
Spending time outside of the bedroom is important too.
- Take time to watch a movie together in the front of the cab while the little one is asleep.
- Have a late dinner and get it to-go from the truck stop restaurant.
- Park at a rest area and go outside and look at the stars together.
- My husband and I enjoy getting up together early and eating breakfast together. He will drive and eat while I read him the morning news and sip on my coffee.
- Play a computer game together. My little one enjoys sitting on my lap and watching while my husband and I play Minecraft together.
