Passenger Waiver Forms
What is a passenger waiver form?
A passenger waiver form is document created by the carrier and signed by the trucker and carrier's representative, protecting the carrier from lawsuits from injuries, losses, etc. sustained by any passengers while on board the vehicle. Depending on the company these may be permanent or require regular updating.
Who can have a passenger waiver form?
Any person that wishes to ride with a trucker for any period of time must have a passenger waiver. That trucker must also be working for a company that is either self insured (large carrier swift, prime), or a company insured by OOIDA insurance. All other third party insurance companies will not allow passengers for any reason.
Where can I get one?
