Cotulla, is one of five new proto-type truckstops designed by Flying J to promote the socialization of truckers within the truck stops.
In past years much of the socializing between the truckers has moved out into the parking lots of truck stops or it does not happen at all. Many trucktops have also turned their restaurants into fast food joints to cut costs; leaving those that have used the restaurants in the past to find other solutions.
The new truckstops do not have a restaurant, but do offer various locations without their stores for truckers to chat, socialize, watch a game on television or sit down to eat. They also offer a wider variety in food to truckers from the usual fried fare to healthy sandwiches and homestyle cooking.
Hopefully, the new design is here to stay. Visit one and let Flying J know through their website if you approve. Click here for their website!
