Never leave your keys in a truck with a toddler
Do not make this careless mistake as I did this morning when I briefly stepped out of our truck for a few minutes. I returned to find both doors locked and a giggly little toddler smiling happily out waving at me. It would be almost comical if it weren't for the fact that I was thinking, "Good Lord! How am I going to break into a semi-truck?" (which will not be covered on this website - but is pretty useful knowledge). We broke into the truck and got the little one out safely and he was still giggling.

What did we do right?
- Keep our APU on at all times. It kept the truck cool.
- I put out a juice bottle every morning and top it up at every opportunity.
So what could we have done to prevent this incident?
- Grab the keys before leaving the truck.
- Keep a spare in your pocket all day.
- Keep a spare outside (duct tape inside a tool box somewhere?)
